Shape coexistence and band termination in A=110−120 proton-rich nuclei
报告简介
Recent studies of proton-rich nuclei just above the Z=50 magic shell performed with stateof-the-art detector setups developed for the observation of very weakly populated states will be presented. The newly identified bands revealing unexpected modes of excitation at both low and high spin will be discussed. The detailed study of the level structure of the gamma-soft 116,118Xe nuclei will be presented. Different types of shape coexistence in the A=110−120 mass region will be discussed.
主讲人简介
Costel Petrache is a full professor at the University of Paris-Saclay, France. His research focuses on experimental nuclear physics, with major interests in nuclear spectroscopy of nuclei far from stability, nuclear structure under extreme conditions (high spins and large deformations), exotic shapes and excitation modes, and symmetries in nuclei. He has extensive experience in the design and construction of advanced nuclear instrumentation, including neutron detectors, recoil mass spectrometers, and segmented semiconductor detectors. He is also actively engaged in applied physics, particularly in the fields of art and archaeology, as well as medical imaging.
